This Dual Adjustable Servo Rate Reducer has the ability to independently slow down two servos. A small potentiometer (POT) allows the servo end to end speed to be adjusted from less than 1 second to 5 seconds. The POT also allows selection of the failsafe signal. When the rate reducer receives 10 bad signals in a row, it will default to failsafe mode and slowly move the servo to the failsafe position. This is especially important for landing gear and flaps to default in the down position, or IC engines to default in the idle position!

One or both channels can be used at any time.

The POT is adjusted in the following manner: The center is the fastest servo speed. Turning the POT to the left or right will slow down the servo. Turning the POT to the left will enable the failsafe signal to be 1.0ms. Turning the POT to the right will enable the failsafe signal to be 2.0ms.

Adjusting the failsafe is simple. Just plug a servo into the Dual Adjustable Servo Rate Reducer, and power the Dual Adjustable Servo Rate Reducer by plugging an extra 4.8v receiver battery into the extra servo output. This will power the Dual Adjustable Servo Rate Reducer without providing an input signal from the receiver. It will default to the failsafe position. If the servo moved to the wrong side, simply turn the POT to the other side. The servo should move slowly to the correct failsafe position. Now that the correct side of the POT is known, connect the electronics to your model exactly how it would be when it is time to fly. Try moving the servo(s) connected to the Dual Adjustable Servo Rate Reducer back and forth and very slowly adjust the POT to achieve the correct speed.

Note: Some models may require different failsafe positions for each servo. Please consider using a Dionysus Design Servo Reverser, or multiple Dual Adjustable Servo Rate Reducers.
